Sports in West Singapore: Where to Play, Train and Book in Clementi, Jurong and Beyond

Public sports centres in Clementi, Jurong East, Jurong West, Bukit Batok, Choa Chu Kang and Queenstown: courts from S$3.50 an hour, hours and what is closed.

ActiveSG lists public sport centres in Clementi, Jurong East, Jurong West, Bukit Batok, Choa Chu Kang and Queenstown, plus a weekend school hall in Bukit Timah. For a Singapore citizen or permanent resident, non-peak badminton or indoor pickleball is S$3.50 an hour. Play! Pickle names Clementi MRT (EW23) for the Clementi hall. Clementi Stadium is closed for redevelopment.

Key takeaways

  • Citizen and permanent resident non-peak badminton and indoor pickleball start at S$3.50 an hour. Peak is S$7.40.
  • Clementi Stadium is shut, and ActiveSG and The Straits Times do not give the same reopening date.
  • Super Arena at 321 Clementi Avenue 3 is marked coming soon. No court rate is published.

Public facilities by area

Sports below are the ones with a booking link on the facility page. MRT stations are named only where a source names them.

Rates are from the ActiveSG rate card dated 25 August 2026; hours are from the facility and operator pages as read in September 2026.

What the rate card actually charges

The individual rate card was last updated on 25 August 2026. The court price does not change by town.

For a Singapore citizen or permanent resident, per hour:

  • Badminton and indoor pickleball: S$3.50 non-peak, S$7.40 peak.
  • Outdoor pickleball: S$4.50 non-peak, S$9.50 peak.
  • Basketball, netball or volleyball: S$15 non-peak, S$30 peak.
  • Table tennis: S$1.50 non-peak, S$3.20 peak, per table.

The standard column is higher: indoor pickleball is S$4.60 non-peak and S$9.70 peak, and outdoor pickleball reaches S$12.50 at peak. Non-peak is 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. Peak is 6pm to 10pm on those weekdays, and 7am to 10pm on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays. Each user can hold two slots a day.

A normal-pool adult citizen or permanent resident pays S$1 on a weekday and S$1.30 on a weekend or public holiday. A child or senior citizen pays S$0.50 and S$0.60. Feature pools are S$1.50 and S$2 for that adult, and S$0.80 and S$1 for a child or senior citizen. The card names Choa Chu Kang, Jurong East and Jurong West as feature pools. Clementi’s page calls its complex a normal pool. A gym visit is S$2.50 for an adult citizen or permanent resident, and S$1.50 for a student or senior citizen. For Bukit Timah Primary School Hall, if badminton is released there, the school-hall row is S$7.40 peak with no non-peak rate.

Clementi

An ActiveSG page gives Clementi Sport Hall six table tennis tables. Play! Pickle runs group, private and family sessions on two indoor pickleball courts here, and points the court booking to ActiveSG. Clementi MRT (EW23) and bus 78 are the route they name. The session fee is not printed on that page.

Pickleball itself is in our pickleball guide. Basketball at the same hall is a court hire at S$15 or S$30 an hour, not the badminton rate; coached sessions are on the basketball programmes page. The centre also has an ActiveSG gym at the hall’s address, at S$2.50 a visit for an adult citizen or permanent resident.

Clementi Swimming Complex, 520 Clementi Avenue 3, Singapore 129908, is a normal pool: competition, teaching and wading pools, plus outdoor cardio kit. Monday is a full closure unless that Monday is a public holiday. Other days run 8am to 9.30pm. Training-pool closure runs from 14 September to 26 October 2026, and some areas are not accessible. A weekday adult swim for a citizen or permanent resident is S$1.

Clementi Stadium sits at 10 West Coast Walk, Singapore 127156. ActiveSG lists the whole site closed for redevelopment from 1 July 2026 to the second quarter of 2029. Still on the page: a pitch, an eight-lane track and a fitness corner. On 2 June 2026 The Straits Times reported a close from 7 July 2026 and a reopening in 2030, and named Clementi Sport Centre, Jurong East Stadium and Bukit Gombak Stadium as alternatives. Those end dates do not match. Check the facility page for whether the gate is shut.

Jurong East

Jurong East Sport Centre calls its hall air-conditioned. Bookable there: badminton, pickleball and table tennis. An ActiveSG article places the hall near Chinese Garden MRT. Use that article for the station only, because its prices do not match the August 2026 rate card.

Wider court lists sit on public and private pickleball courts across Singapore. The pool at this address is a feature pool: competition pool, wave pool, lazy river, kiddy pool and stream course. Monday is a full closure. Other days run 8am to 9.30pm. Competition-pool closure runs from 5 April 2025 to 31 December 2026, and some areas are not accessible, so treat the slides as a same-day check. A feature-pool adult citizen or permanent resident pays S$1.50 on a weekday and S$2 on a weekend.

Jurong West

Jurong West Sport Centre’s page puts the hall close to Pioneer MRT. Bookable sports are badminton, basketball, netball and volleyball. For public pickleball on this side of the west, use Clementi, Jurong East, or the outdoor courts at Choa Chu Kang.

Netball here is a hired court at S$15 or S$30 an hour, not a class. For coaching, start with netball for school-age players. The centre is on the feature-pool list, and its page mentions sheltered parking without a fee.

Bukit Batok

Bukit Batok’s sport centre is Bukit Gombak Sport Centre, 810 Bukit Batok West Avenue 5, Singapore 659088, beside Bukit Gombak MRT. Hall bookings are badminton, daily 7am to 10pm. Also on the centre page: a gym and Bukit Gombak Stadium.

A second public site is the pool. Bukit Batok Swimming Complex, 2 Bukit Batok Street 22, Singapore 659581, is closed all day on Wednesday unless that day is a public holiday, and otherwise runs 8am to 9.30pm. Listed there: a competition pool, a wading pool, a teaching pool and Bukit Batok ActiveSG Gym. Gym hours on that gym’s page are 7am to 9.30pm, earlier than the sport centre’s 10pm close.

Choa Chu Kang

Choa Chu Kang Sport Centre, 1 Choa Chu Kang Street 53, Singapore 689236, sits between two MRT stations and leaves both unnamed. Hall bookings are badminton and table tennis until 10pm. Outdoor courts at the same address book pickleball and sepak takraw until 9pm. Outdoor pickleball for a citizen or permanent resident is S$4.50 non-peak and S$9.50 peak. Also on the centre page: a gym, a stadium, a feature pool and a tennis centre. Outdoor facilities may close in bad weather. When the sky is the risk, the indoor hall is badminton or table tennis, not pickleball. A Choa Chu Kang pickleball page follows.

Queenstown

Queenstown’s ActiveSG sport centre is the public option here, with a gym, a stadium and a swimming complex rather than a sport hall. Queenstown Sport Centre, 473 Stirling Road, Singapore 148948, is open daily from 7am to 10pm. Gym entry follows the ActiveSG rate: S$2.50 for an adult citizen or permanent resident, S$1.50 for a student or senior citizen.

For Queenstown residents, Clementi Sport Hall is the nearest public court with a published booking list. In one-north, Singapore Recreation Club’s Ayer Rajah page lists nine pickleball courts on Ayer Rajah Crescent, with no public hourly rate or opening hours.

Bukit Timah

Bukit Timah’s public hall is Bukit Timah Primary School Hall, 111 Lorong Kismis, Singapore 598112, managed through Clementi Sport Centre. Hours are Saturday 3pm to 9pm and Sunday 9am to 9pm. If badminton is released there, the school-hall row is S$7.40 peak with no non-peak rate.

That one weekend hall is the whole public offer, and gymnastics pages for Bukit Timah and Holland Village follow. BazGym’s programme page names SAFRA Jurong, HomeTeamNS-JOM Balestier and SAFRA Punggol, from age 3, with a trial at S$55. None of those branches is in Bukit Timah or Holland Village.

If you are coming from another West town

Clementi Sport Hall is a short walk from Clementi MRT (EW23), with bus 78 nearby, according to Play! Pickle. The ActiveSG centre pages put Jurong West’s hall close to Pioneer and Bukit Gombak’s beside Bukit Gombak station, and an ActiveSG article places Jurong East Sport Hall near Chinese Garden. Choa Chu Kang’s page says it sits between two stations without naming them; Queenstown and the Lorong Kismis hall name none.

Lessons, and what is not open yet

Play! Pickle’s Clementi sessions run inside the ActiveSG hall at 518 Clementi Avenue 3. The published price is the court hire.

BazGym’s trial is S$55 at the three branches above. Other clubs are on gymnastics for children and kids’ sports classes in Singapore.

Scholar Basketball Academy lists camps and league play at Bukit Timah Plaza, Parkway Parade and ACS Barker. Walls and gyms are on Rock climbing in Singapore. Outpost Climbing, the climbing partner named on that page, has not yet published a Clementi address.

Super Arena, 321 Clementi Avenue 3, Singapore 129905, is on the same avenue as the ActiveSG hall at 518. Its homepage calls it a multi-sport destination in Clementi and says coming soon, with basketball, gymnastics, netball, pickleball and rock climbing opening there. It publishes no court rate and no opening hours, so the Clementi court you can book today is the ActiveSG hall.

A Clementi Sport Centre guide, Jurong East and Jurong West sports centre guides, a Clementi pickleball page, a Jurong pickleball page, a West Coast pickleball page and a West Singapore climbing page follow.

Common questions

Is Clementi Stadium open for a jog?

Not on the current ActiveSG notice. The stadium page calls a full closure for redevelopment, while a June 2026 Straits Times report gives a different reopening year. The sport hall at 518 Clementi Avenue 3 is a separate page and is listed as open. Check the stadium closure block on the day you go, because the two published end dates are not the same.

Why is an off-peak court S$3.50 and my friend's booking more?

S$3.50 is only the citizen or permanent resident price for one non-peak hour of badminton or indoor pickleball. The same card has a peak column and a standard-rate column, and outdoor pickleball is a different row again. A weeknight after 6pm, a weekend morning, or a booking by someone who is not a citizen or permanent resident will not be S$3.50.

Can I book the Bukit Timah school hall on a Wednesday?

Hours on the Bukit Timah Primary School Hall page are Saturday, 3pm to 9pm, and Sunday, 9am to 9pm. Check the live slots for which sport is offered before you promise the children a game.

Will rain close the Choa Chu Kang outdoor pickleball courts?

Those courts are outdoors, and the facility page says outdoor facilities may close in bad weather. The listed hours are 7am to 9pm daily, which is earlier than the indoor hall at the same address. If the outdoor slot is down, the indoor hall still books badminton and table tennis until 10pm.

Can we still swim at Jurong East if the competition pool is shut?

The complex still has published opening days outside its Monday closure, but the closure list is not limited to the competition pool. The page also says some areas are not accessible. Treat the wave pool, lazy river and slides as a same-day check, not as a promise.

Can I book a court at Super Arena yet?

No published court, rate or hour is on the Super Arena homepage, which still says coming soon. If you want pickleball in Clementi this month, Play! Pickle's session page sends you to the ActiveSG hall, not to 321 Clementi Avenue 3.
